Manager, Forecasting & Sales Analysis

Position Description:

In this position, you will provide in-depth analysis and reporting to deliver information needed for strategic decision making and to support Company initiatives at retail. Key functions include:
? Title and Promotional Performance ? Publish Sales Tracking daily and weekly reports and analysis on key releases including account market shares, sales lifts associated with ads, media, re-prices, and other marketing programs, and comparison to Fox internal and competitive titles.
? Forecasting and Decay Curves ? Develop and update daily, weekly, 12 and 52-week sales forecasts for key releases.
? Catalog and TV Reporting ? Publish weekly reports and analysis on these business segments, including weekly, monthly and year-to-date performance against budget and plan.
? Competitive Analysis ? Analyze various marketplace trends including studio and retailer market shares, by price point, genre, etc.
? Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews ? Publish monthly and quarterly analysis of retail sales based on key account POS. Detail includes performance by category (New Release, Catalog, TV, Acquired), price point, genre, channel vs. last year and plan.
? Ad-hoc Analysis and Reporting ? Support POS-based analysis required by other areas of Company including Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations. Examples include demographic box office vs. sell-through performance to support media decisions, re-price performance to guide pricing decisions, and various analyses contributing to identification of trends and opportunities.

Data sources include both Fox?s internal data warehouse as well as AC Nielsen/Video Scan. Work with Account Teams, Brand Marketing and others to include specific information to help develop and support findings and recommendations. Work with IT to enhance Foresight and JDE capabilities. Constant validation of data to ensure accuracy. Develop reports within systems to streamline information flow across divisions.


Qualifications:
? Bachelor?s degree in business oriented field, strong mathematical and problem solving skills. Knowledge of probability and statistics is desired.
? Strong working knowledge of and 5+ years experience with Excel. Able to use macros to automate frequently requested reports. Skilled with various file types and conversion to spreadsheet format.
? Must have 3+ years experience, preferably in the home entertainment industry.
? Ability to generalize and make logical assumptions based on reasonable samples for given business situations.
? Strong follow-through and prioritization skills. Excellent communication skills to all levels within to the company. Initiative, self-motivation, and a strong sense of urgency are essential.
? Conceptual and working knowledge of database and data warehouse systems. Experience using database software (e.g., Access) and OLAP tools (e.g., Business Objects or Micro-Strategy) will be a plus.
