Job Description: Media Liaison/High Level Public Relations

Coordinate with trade publications to provide articles by organization. Track publication dates and follow-up with editors to provide timely articles and press releases. Promote published articles within the company and to key sales staff for use in lead generation. Look for new opportunities for publication and interviews with a variety of publications. Candidate would need to have a bit of a sales mentality on the phone with editors and be very organized.

We are expanding our company marketing for our seminars, presented more than 30 times throughout the year in front of thousands of people each year. Your work will be highly visible, representing a company with a reputation as innovators in their field.

The ideal candidate for this key position would be an energetic self-starter and problem-solver. You must be able to think creatively and look for creative ways to present our seminars and related materials to our audience. We're looking for someone focused on growth who wants to become an integral part of a successful company. The position would be charged with marketing a company looked upon as marketing experts.

Requirements include (but are not limited to):
- highly organized and detail-oriented individual capable of tracking a lot of moving parts
- understanding of marketing and advertising procedures and practices
- excellent communication, reporting and follow-up skills
- ability to multi-task and be pulled in many directions at once without losing sight of the big picture
- excellent written communication skills
- advanced copy writing skills for advertising and direct mail
- fast learner, self-starter, problem-solver, creative thinker
- some production/design experience (InDesign, Photoshop) for those last-minute projects
Job duties include (but are certainly not limited to):
- tracking internal projects relating to seminar marketing
- oversee development of seminar collateral materials
- tracking revisions and updates throughout the year
- managing yearly revamp of seminar materials for 3 seminars
- edit and write advertising copy
- revise promotional materials for regional events
- edit articles for regional reprinting
- revise and update order forms and sales materials
- resize ads
- direct work of freelance and in-house artists and writers
- coordinate scheduling and promotion before each event
