About the Position:
Freightliner, Sterling, Western Star of Arizona is currently seeking a Heavy Duty Truck Diesel Technician. The primary job functions for this position are: to diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul trucks, buses, and all types of diesel engines; correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering hydraulics; complete machine shop operations; make adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.

Qualified candidates will have:
? 2+ years hands on experience as a diesel technician or mechanic in a shop environment
? Extensive knowledge in the repair and maintenance of diesel engines & power trains.
? Own your own tools
? Have or be able to get a CDL
? Have ability to read, understand, & apply information from manuals & computer including trouble shooting documents.
? Diagnostic skills/experience & attention to detail a must.

ASE certification or Freightliner certification is desired. Experience in the service department of a dealership is a big plus.
 
Location:
We have 2 dealership locations - one on the East side of Phoenix in Chandler and one on the West side of Phoenix in Tolleson.
 
Compensation:
We offer a great work environment and an outstanding compensation package. Salary is $12 to $28 per hour based on experience, plus bonuses, plus possibility of signing bonus.
