We are looking for an individual with a strong background in Safety with experience operating in a manufacturing environment.? This individual will direct and coordinate safety related activities, for our account, at the customer?s site.

?

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

?

??????? Manages safety function for exempt and nonexempt Associates in the completion of the Premier Scope of work within the facility.

??????? Maintains professional relationships with Customers and effectively manages all safety aspects of our service delivery of existing business within the customer?s plant.?

??????? Actively participates in the ongoing business activities of the Customer as it relates to site Safety Goals and their impact on Premier employees.

??????? Adjusts processes and resources to meet changing Customer safety requirements as directed by the Facility Manager or Customer.

??????? Operates within the Premier System as required by the Facility Manager to drive processes and resources to meet changing customer safety requirements for the site.

??????? Focuses on safety issues, performance improvement, measurement and audit.

??????? Effectively communicates necessary information and status updates to the Facility Manager.? Participates in meetings and walk-through as required by the Facility Manager.????

??????? Produces all required reporting for both internal and customer needs as required by the Facility Manager.

??????? Ensures compliance with Premier Safety Initiatives and applicable laws/rules in the states and communities in which Premier operates.

??????? Liaisons with the Premier Corporate Safety Manager as required:

??????? Conducts Safety Training for all new Premier Employees as needed.

??????? Conducts Accident Investigations as required by Premier Corporate and the Customer.

??????? Performs other duties as assigned or as may be necessary.

The successful candidate for this position will have the following,

Experience and Abilities:?

??Five years plus experience operating as a Safety Manager in a manufacturing environment.? Behavior based safety approach desired.

?

??Ability to Communication and Follow-up - Communicate ideas clearly and effectively in a group setting.? Explain complex ideas at a level appropriate to the audience.?

?

??Ability to Build Trust - Interacts with others in a way that gives them confidence in one?s intentions and those of the organization.? ?

??Ability to Gain Commitment at all levels of the organization - Convince peers to support an idea or plan.? Win over others who are resistant to an approach you support.? Obtain buy-in from others.?

??Manage Conflict / Stress Tolerance - Deal effectively with others in antagonistic situation; using appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict between two or more people.

??Computer Literate (MS Word and Excel)

Physical Requirements:? The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of job.

??????? The employee is also required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate). The employee is frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surface from 6-12 hours. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.??

??????? The vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus.
