Account Specialist, Sr.

Description: Account Specialist, Sr. JOB SUMMARY Responsibilities of this position will include managing an AR assignment at 92% less than 30 days past due by contacting and negotiating with customers, making payment arrangements to prevent deactivation wihle still keeping AR in line, deactivating accounts as necessary.

Job Responsibilities

Verifying
Western Union and Bill Matrix payments
*
Working accounts t o conclusion, collecting or deactivating the account
*
Maintaining an acceptable abandonment rate on inbound calls
*
Maintaining an acceptable AR percentage of accounts less than 30 days past due
*
Working First Payment Default and High Risk accounts early and strong
*
Following up on recently deactivated accounts to collect before charge off
*
Working credit balances to keep them updated-processing refund requests

Job Experience and Education

*
Some college preferred
*
Previous collection experience
*
Familiarity with collection laws
*
Working knowledge of MS Office Products
*
Proficiency in Excell

Working knowldege of A/R functions and basic account priciples

Excellent oral and written communication skills
