Customer Account Manager

With more than $13 billion in assets & a market cap of approximately $1 billion, IndyMac Bank is a highly scalable FDIC insured consumer bank with an industry leading asset generation franchise that is predominantly web-based.

This position exists to serve subprime customers. The CAM provides services ranging from training/coaching regarding IndyMac's practices to assistance structuring files to condition clearing. The CAM serves as the principal point of contact for assigned customers. CAMs respond to customer calls to facilitate successful movement of loans through the pipeline from intake to closing and provide status information, and regularly initiate contact with customers to increase loan pull-through, communicate updates to IndyMac products and services, and generate new business. CAMs resolve customer problems and issues and handles customer issues or escalates them, as appropriate, to the Regional CAM, Underwriter, Team Manager or Business Development Manager.


Requirements:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
Minimum - high school diploma or GED
3 years or more banking experience including experience in more than one aspect of mortgage industry including loan processing, underwriting and funding.

Preferred:
Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS/ABILITIES
Must have at least 2 years of SubPrime Experience!
Knowledge of all aspects of mortgage origination.
Must possess a strong sense of urgency and work ethic to desire to complete tasks.
Must be a positive thinker
Must have typing or computer input skills.
Must aggressively assert him/herself into the business.
Strong oral communication skills with good grammar and the ability to facilitate open, flowing communication.
Must possess tact (Ability to maintain composure while dealing with difficult customers).
Strong Knowledge of company, products, and/or services. Must read all incoming policy change documents, retain the information and provide the latest information to customers.
Ability to work as part of a team and assist other team members.
Excellent Customer Service skills.
