Operations Manager - ( H10867)
POSITION SUMMARY: The Operations Manager oversees, directs, plans and coordinates the activities of the office or may be assigned a specific area in the office or be accountable for a several units who report through a supervisor. May perform first-line supervisor functions as required. Incumbent is familiar with a variety of the concepts, practices and procedures, and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Work is performed within broadly defined areas of regulations and procedures, and may be reviewed and monitored by superiors or auditors. Discretion is required.
MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
?High School Graduate/GED Equivalent. College preferred
?Ability to direct, plan and coordinate the work of others
?Ability to make sound decisions, often under pressure or within tight time constraints.
?Excellent communication skills - speaking, listening and written
?Time management to include prioritization and multi-tasking
?Strong knowledge of the collection industry
?Knowledge of Compliance Regulations
?Ability to work without supervision or oversight
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (To include but not limited to the following)
?Coordinates and monitors activities to implement new and existing policies, procedures, and practices within area of responsibility. Function may require person to design and implement changes within scope of job.
?Manages activities involving established services and functions.
?Implements processes to improve performance for functional area.
?Prepares reports needed for upper management, clients and business decision making.
?Resolves functional area issues that may include speaking with clients (internal or external).
?Provides input to budgetary forecasting.
?Manages a profit and loss statement.
?Ordinarily, expenditures are approved at this level with additional higher-level signatures sometimes required.
?Oversees recruiting and retention efforts for area. May be involved in the interviewing of direct and indirect subordinates.
?Some travel may be required.
?Plans daily, weekly and monthly activities to reach objectives and goals.
?Establishes office environment to comply with OSI values, policies and procedures.
?Reviews processes for accuracy of information and compliance to OSI standards and required regulations.
?Develops, prepares, and reviews reports to insure office and individual compliance with established objectives.
?Ensures staff is provided with guidance, training and direction to successfully reach and or exceed goals. Serves as a mentor to the management team, coaches and develops direct reports.
?Identifies and implements short and long term plans to stabilize operations, strengthen client relations, generate revenue and maximize profitability.
?Meets with all levels of the operation to ensure pertinent information is shared upward and downward, establishes a "safe" environment promoting openness and honesty, provides senior management with necessary/required information.
?Ensures guidelines are in place to provide all staff with clearly defined expectations, ensures practices are equitable and administered on a consistent basis.
?Leads by example, builds a management team that understands, embraces, and consistently. demonstrates OSI behaviors, values and principles; demonstrates a sense of urgency in responding to clients, associates, internal and external customers.
?Protect company proprietary and confidential information in accordance with OSI Confidentiality policy and Corporate Information Security Policies and Procedures.
?Other duties as assigned.
