Responsibilities:

The candidate will develop strategically targeted, account specific business plans which measure sales results, not sales activities. Business plans reflect an in-depth understanding of local, regional and national market forces impacting product sales. Daily, weekly, quarterly and annual sales planning incorporates a bias for results and focuses on the most significant opportunities and challenges. The candidate will identify ethical, innovative, customer-oriented ideas in response to changing market forces. Sales plans are working documents used to solve challenging problems in a dynamic sales environment. The candidate will aggressively implement sales plans with a bias for maximizing important resources, including time and finances. He/she will have a clear understanding of important territory-related issues and will devote whatever time is necessary to complete objectives outlined in the sales strategy. The incumbent will set intermediate benchmarks to measure progress and will exhibit single-mindedness about accomplishing objectives. He/she will skillfully deal with the concepts and complexities associated with Genentech products and adjunctive therapies. He/she will invest the time necessary to maintain an in-depth understanding of the clinical data. The candidate will skillfully deal with the concepts and complexities associated with the disease states where Genentech products are used, as well as invest the time necessary to stay up-to-date with therapeutic advances within these diseased states.

 

Requirements:

A B.A./B.S. or a degree in an equivalent field is preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of pharmaceutical or health care industry sales experience is required. Experience selling an injectable product is preferred.
