Financial Systems Specialist

Develop and maintain a variety of automated processes and reporting tools to assist the Finance Department in meeting reporting, analysis, tax filing, budgetary and other daily operating responsibilities. ?In this role, you will work as part of a team to define system scope & objectives; code test, and debug complex programs, interface with subject matter experts (SME) in development of user specifications. Assist in developing tools to assist in identifying cost saving areas and build efficiencies within the organization. This professional will serve as an advisor to the Finance Department regarding data analysis, modeling, and applications design. He/she will also support day-to-day operations of company Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

?Assist in development of Corporate Accounting Financial systems applications. Involves database and web page design and programming, tune databases, monitor statistics, compile, analyze and present to business usersExchange information, verbally and in writing, clearly, accurately, reliably, and timely. This includes presenting and explaining objectives in a way that establishes rapport and gains understanding across the Finance organization.Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilitiesto resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.Responsible for specifications, design, development, and maintenance of complex travel, payroll, and financial reportsWorks closely with finance personnel to investigate business process, understand business needs, and provide technical solutions to those business needsProvide back-up support in the general accounting and financial reporting area during busy closing periodsServe as the liaison between Finance and IT in special projects that involve more technical supportWork closely with Finance personnel in automating various daily tasks by constructing more advanced queries or reporting toolsAbility to interpret and effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.Maintain and utilize pre-existing code base of analysis queriesWork with Finance management in supporting various automation goals concerning automating Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable daily functions (invoice entry, cash receipt application, etc.)Assessing, designing, configuring, testing and implementing OLAP solutions, business performance management products, data mining applications and report building tools. Work with Finance management in developing and automating the weekly, monthly and quarterly statistic generation and reporting, including all graphs and other formats presented to upper managementWill assist in new ERP implementation project and then its transition as ongoing operational/support mode in the Financial Systems DepartmentImplementation of data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance, resolution of database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication and other distributed data issuesProvide technical leadership and consultation in the design and development of complex data driven projectsProvide functional and technical support, resolve problems, and lead discovery processes for the application or data

Requirements1-3 years solid application development skills in Visual Basic. Experience with .Net technology a plus 2-3 years experience developing complex SQL Server stored procedures, stored functions, triggers, indexing, and views2 -3 years experience developing complex reports with Crystal Reports in a SQL server environmentExperience (2-3 years) responsible for developing reporting and analysis tools in a Accounting environmentEmphasis in developing and maintaining DTS packages, stored procedures to support an analytic environment.Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services and using OLAPAbility to translate business needs into data analysis and reporting solutionsBachelor?s degree in accounting or computer sciences is requiredExperience with Epicor financial systems preferred, but not required
