Construction Program Manager, Facilities Asset Management
The FAM Construction Program Manager, for The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA, is accountable for planning and developing attractions-related capital and planned work expense investment strategies in support of Resort/division objectives. They will lead near, mid and long term capital planning efforts focused on attraction legislative compliance, safety and operational readiness. They will develop prioritized, multi-year capital and planned work expense (PWE) program focused on upgrading, refurbishing or replacing attractions-related assets to ensure legislative compliance, safety and operational readiness and develop scope and implementation strategy, facilitate estimating process, and justify funding. They will develop programs focused on reducing sustainment costs while enhancing operational readiness and maximizing life cycle value. They will lead cross-divisional efforts to resolve business issues employing analytical tools in valuing competing asset management alternatives and be responsible for management of a team of Project Managers for execution of attractions-related capital projects, managing project risk, resolving major scope issues and interfacing with Capital Finance on funding related issues. The Teams that need to be partnered with include Engineering, Maintenance, Risk Management and Operations to accomplish shared business objectives as well interface closely with Show and Infrastructure Program Managers in program development process to optimize attraction investment and ensure efficient rehabs. They will lead Project Managers during execution of attractions-related capital projects and address project risk, resolving major scope issues and interfacing with Capital Finance on funding related issues. They will manage current year programs with accountability for scope, execution strategy and overall funding and will lead attractions-related unfunded, ?drop-in? capital process (options analysis, project scoping, implementation strategy, funding justification, presentation to Capital Finance). They will function as Disneyland Resort (DLR) representative on new attraction projects and global safety programs and participate as an integral member of the Project Core Team representing DLR in new project development. They will lead a team of DLR line of business representatives to establish operational requirements, review designs, address issues and ensure project deliverables meet Resort requirements. They will develop business justifications for capital investment proposals, emphasizing life cycle cost analysis where applicable and work closely with Business Management when developing programs/business justifications, and when evaluating different solutions to a business problem that require financial analysis and assessment of financial impact to operating areas. They will build relationships with stakeholders to ensure strong team dynamics, frequent communication and close coordination to accomplish common goals and objectives and communicate information on project impacts in a timely manner to all affected Resort divisions and areas to ensure minimum impact to daily attraction/maintenance operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field with emphasis in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and/or Structural disciplines.
8-10 years demonstrated management experience in leading others/teams, budgetary responsibility, and roles bridging technical and business environments to accomplish desired objectives.
Excellent planning and management skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills using fact-based objective orientation.
Strong issue resolution skills with demonstrated structured thinking ability.
Ability to multi-task and deploy resources effectively.
Excellent relationship/interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Command presence enabling him/her to deal with executive level.
Engineering experience in ride system design, production, integration and maintenance is desirable.
