General Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, maintenance, and operation of the buildings.
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Manager, Human Resources. The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor proposes solutions to meet the company?s requirements based upon industry best practices and compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Job ResponsibilitiesPerform basic maintenance and repairs.Ensures the facility meets government regulations and environmental, health, and security standards.Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.Initiate outside service calls, electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, roofing, etc.Hire and direct outside service staff including maintenance, grounds, and custodial workers.When necessary develop, manage, and coordinate project plans with architects, engineers, other consultants, general contractors, space planners, furniture and equipment vendors, movers, furniture installers, and local code enforcement officersManage bidding process with vendors, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and standards.Coordinate with IT for network installations and reconfigurations to support construction and relocations.Manage facilities maintenance schedule.Manage and respond to troubleshooting inquiries/complaints from KBB employees in a timely manner, providing best practices customer service techniques.Develop and manage maintenance contracts, order materials and equipment, and perform related tasks as required. Order, install and maintain adequate supply of office maintenance supplies, including furniture, lighting, and office equipment. Manage the ordering, stocking, organizing, and cleaning of the building, outside trash area, and equipment.
Required Skills, Attributes & EducationMinimum of 3-5 years managerial experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Complete basic repairs, painting, moving, handyman skills and understanding of working with outside vendors.Experience and/or expertise in one or more specific areas of facilities or operations preferred.
