Maintenance Supervisor

Description

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the safe & efficient upkeep of the property, purchasing supplies and equipment, implementing a capital improvement plan and supervise the maintenance and custodial staff. In some instances the supervisor may need to perform some or all aspects of each position.

Qualifications

Require 3-5 years experience in all areas of maintenance and 2-3 years as a supervisor or manager.

Thorough knowledge of Major building systems i.e., electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.

Excellent communication skills to interface with staff, vendors, and residents.

Computer literate (AMSI Request-4-Service) preferred.


Physical Requirements:
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Able to use hand tools, both power and manual
Able to traverse the property and inspect units on a daily basis.
Able to bend, push, pull and squat to accomplish the necessary tasks
Able to use standard landscape equipment, such as wheel-barrel, shovel, broom
Able to climb latter and possibly stairs.


Education

Preference for related training certifications and licenses.
High School diploma and/or GED is required; some college is a plus
