Christie Digital Systems USA, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Maintenance and Facilities Manager at our Cypress, California headquarters.

Position Purpose:

The Maintenance and Facilities Manager is a ?hands on? responsibility for the management and daily sustaining activities of the facilities and must be able to develop preventative maintenance programs, implements operating improvements and complete maintenance service. Leads and supports continuous process improvement and cost reduction projects. Complies with all OSHA and plant safety regulations and trains personnel on the same. Must be able to determine if the maintenance of the facilities can be accomplished personally or requires the contracting of local vendors. Coordinates external work of outside contractors, interfaces with city and local inspectors, fire department and manages the maintenance of buildings, systems, equipment, grounds, and related facilities. Performs minor maintenance tasks as needed, which may include lighting, plumbing, painting and troubleshooting system problems and assisting with mechanical repairs.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

1)Functional Sustaining Activities

* Ensuring compliance with statutory health and safety testing and certification
requirements.
* Requests quotes for outside service, i.e., electrical, mechanical and trades
contractors.
* Coordinates outside vendors or contractors services as needed.
* Approves all facilities expenses and maintains stringent budgetary control of
all plant operational costs.
* Participates as a member of the ISO 14000 implementation team and safety
committee

2)Project Support

* Recommends facility/layout modifications utilizing Lean and Six Sigma
methodologies.
* Supports other departments and implements facilities space allocation and
or facilities improvement projects to support the growth and efficiency of
that department.

Job Requirements:

* 5 to 7 years in plant maintenance
* Strong communication and computer skills using Microsoft Office, Excel or
equivalent software.
* Experience with Microsoft Project software is a plus.
* Experience in facilities management and building construction trades and/or
training that includes facilities management, supervision of contracted
services, project management, general building maintenance; or any equivalent
combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite
knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
* Project management experience in continuous improvement, facilities development
and manufacturing environments a plus.
