Business Development/Account Manager

Modis JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION: Business Development Manager/Account Manager

POSITION OBJECTIVES: To grow IT staffing and solutions business in greater San Jose market.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Spend 100% of time on the development and maintenance of branch accounts through outside sales activity as well as following up on or generating new sales leads.
2. Define targeted companies and forecasting semi-annual projections.
3. Appropriate time towards developing partnership relationships, building profile of organizational structure, client focus business with key contacts.
4. Strengthen client relationships through on- site client visits and phone contact with regular follow-up.
5. Effectively understand clients strategic development or IT objectives.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date fact sheets or related documents on all clients and targeted potential clients.
7. Work closely with the clients VP or Director level to ensure account maintenance and maximum revenue development.
8. Identify new business opportunities for product lines.
9. Prepare and appropriately document sales reports for all weekly sales activity, market and competitor information, business and market trends.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Formal Education: Minimum of Bachelor degree


2. Experience:
(a) 3-5 years experience as an outside sales representative, preferably in professional staffing

(b) 1-2 years successfully selling in service industry.

(c ) Successful track record in cold calling and growing existing accounts in SF Bay Area.

 
3. Skills:
(a) Experienced with using PC and Internet based applications as sales tools.
(b) Excellent verbal and written communications.
(c) Proven experience in providing strong customer service.


4. Knowledge:
(a) General understanding of technology industry trends within the Silicon Valley
(b) Solution selling approach
