Computer Support Specialist

 

National consulting engineering firm is seeking an experienced computer support specialist to support personal computer users and office networks in our Ventura, Encino, Bakersfield, San Luis Obispo and Lancaster offices. This position is based in our Bakersfield office and will require travel on a weekly basis. Must have 2 years of experience troubleshooting and supporting personal computer software, hardware and networking systems. Experience with Windows 2003, Exchange 2000/2003 and Office 2000 required. Prior help desk experience preferred. Current MCSA or MCSE(W2K) or ability to acquire within 6 months required. Possession of an Associate or higher degree prefered. Ability to assess and analyze a situation and make quick decisions. Organizational skills, especially paying close attention to details. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle customer issues and complaints in a professional manner. Proven ability to work in a self-directed environment. Windows 2000 or 2003 Server experience. Exchange 2000 or 2003 Server experience. Ability to train users in the use of desktop applications. Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus. Remote support experience a plus. MCSA or MCSE(W2K) or ability to acquire within 6 months required.
