Desktop Technician - IT Operations

Job Purpose:
Maintain operating efficiency by working with users and support team to ensure procedures & software solutions are working.

Duties:
* This position will be responsible for the installation, configuration and trouble-shooting of various desktop hardware, software and related peripherals. Including but not limited to printers, PDA/Blackberries, etc.

* Identify and support operational objectives and procedures by studying functions and requirements; conferring with managers and employees; evaluating input and output requirements and formats.

* Recommend guidelines and changes by identifying problems; developing improvements; describing methods; writing procedures;

* Determine and track project responsibilities by identifying project phases, elements, and personnel requirements; establishing performance standards; reviewing hours and costs.

* Improves current systems by studying practices, procedures, and problems; designing modifications.

* Prepare and support users by writing and maintaining documentation; providing help to answer questions and resolve problems.

* Maintain user confidence by keeping information confidential; providing status reports.

* Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

* Accomplish department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
