Information Security Systems Administrator

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION FUNCTION:

Under administrative direction, creates and maintains user accounts and performs several other general user access control activities.  Possesses the ability to understand general security concepts and evaluate applications on all platforms.  Ensures that end users adhere to policies, standards and procedures that are in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements in the use of in-house, vendor, internet and personal computer (PC) based systems. Organizes and performs tests of security of data processing operations, operating systems, networks and related processes and functions as required.

 

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

High School diploma or equivalent with minimum of 2 years related computer operations, network management, and/or security and compliance experience, preferably in a financial services environment.  Must have complete understanding of the IS Policy and Procedures manual, IS internal procedures, Bank policies and procedures relating to security, and IS regulatory compliance.  The job requires excellent human relations and communication skills to be able to assist Managers/Supervisors with discrete security issues.  Must have the ability to make administrative decisions and excellent customer service skills.  Be able to travel between the branches (within same region or via plane) and periodically commute for security purposes.
