Network Engineer (Server Group)

Responsibilities: Provide support for server systems including File, Print, Application, Gateway, and other specialty servers. Support responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Researching equipment specifications and pricing

Following required procedures for purchasing servers and related equipment

Physically building servers to spec. for drives, memory, processors, and other special devices

Building servers according to Server Group standards

Testing and implementing new servers in cooperation with other groups where necessary

Any end-user training or special instruction that may be necessary

On-going support for installed server base

Monitoring server performance and availability

Researching code fixes and new versions

Testing new code levels and developing implementation plans

Maintaining current code levels on servers
