Data Warehouse Analyst

Data Warehouse Analyst Description: This position requires a blend of technical, analytical, and soft skills.

Interact appropriately with Product Management, Product Development, Implementation Services, and Support Services to assist in the development, implementation, and support of Data Warehouse product.

Interact appropriately with clients to assist with the installation, configuration, training, operation, customization, and troubleshooting of the Data Warehouse product.

Responsibilities will include project work covering UNIX, enhancing existing/new processes through scripting, configuration, and metrics.

Meet individually defined objectives and contribute to meeting team objectives.

Understand and balance business requirements and user expectations.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Identify potential technology improvements to be leveraged in support of the business.

Assist in the creation and maintenance of relevant documentation.

Contribute to the creation and execution of test plans.

Perform scheduled maintenance and upgrades.

Participate in special projects as required.

Understand, assess, and suggest improvements on the products, internal processes, clients, and the implementation cycle.

Work with the team lead and manager to determine a detailed and prioritized list of objectives and activities for current and future projects.






Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science or related field) or equivalent experience.

2 years minimum recent experience with data warehousing and Oracle development.

Competent in a range of technologies including Oracle database, Oracle Discoverer, UNIX (AIX, Solaris), SQL, PL/SQL, Perl, Shell Scripting and XML.

Solid understanding of the UNIX environment with advanced user level capabilities navigating in a UNIX.

Experienced in writing complex SQL and analytical SQL statements typical of decision support systems.

Solid experience in writing, maintaining and modifying PL/SQL, Shell and Perl programs.

Oracle DBA certification and acute care information systems application development a plus.

Exceptional communication, technical, and analytical abilities.

Able to be effective in a team and independently as a remote employee.

Experienced user of Microsoft desktop applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Self-motivated, aptitude for learning, and passionate about generating and implementing new and improved ideas.

Capable of multi-tasking and working with changing priorities and deadlines.

Travel as needed.
