Network/Lab Technician

Network/Lab Technician Contractor needed in NW Valley-Phx AZ
(12 month contract)

The duties of this contractor are to upgrade existing Experion PKS nodes to R30x.x in the 3 Experion clusters and level 3 network nodes, update/maintain LCN with a new TPN Release, install/upgrade K4LCN boards, provide automated backup and recovery of all nodes, switch the Experion clusters between R21x.x and R30x.x.

The existing in-house engineers with this expertise are unavailable to support the EM Customer Evaluation lab area as they are committed to customer deliverables in 2006 and 2007.

The successful candidate must have expertise and knowledge in networking, security, operating systems, hardware, and network administration to define and maintain the lab systems. This candidate will also be expected to configure, install, backup and document all nodes within the lab environment as updates occur.

The position also requires the candidate to be able to able to work with people and have a customer focus. The environment is fast moving can change at a moments notice. The candidate will support many internal and external testers and must be able to handle interruptions. Follow-through and attention to detail are required.

BS in IT is not a must but experience in the IT and networking field is a must.
