RPG Developer
COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Computer Guidance, one of the largest software firms in the state of Arizona, is looking for a RPG Developer. Based in North Scottsdale, we are a fast paced construction accounting and project management software provider. We have been the industry leader in our field for over two decades supporting 500 customers in North America. We are looking to expand our team with the right individual. There is significant potential to impact the department and for advancement.
Purpose: Perform product design, bug verification, release testing and support on application software projects.
Duties: Perform moderately complex product design, systems analysis and programming activity on financial application software for the Construction industry. Perform design, implementation and maintenance of complex, multiple product modules and subsystems. Conduct unit testing for functionality. Participate in product design meetings. Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develop solutions to the problems. Research new development tools to remain informed of current technology.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Bachelor?s degree in business, software engineering or computer science desired. Associate of Applied science in computer information systems required. 5+ years programming experience required. Thorough technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design, and implementation. Excellent analytical skills at multiple product levels. Excellent skills in research and analysis. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
Equipment and Applications: Strong RPG IV background including ILE technologies. Have some expertise of the WebSphere Studio Application Developer tool. Have some exposure to the Aldon Lifecycle Manager for iSeries and Rational Clear Case change management tools
Preferred system experience: RPG ILE, Legacy RPG, COBOL, SAP ABAP4, SQL, PHP, Informatica, web design, html, CGI Script, Java Script, AS/400, Unix servers
