Software Tester
DKI Consulting is currently seeking a Software Tester to work with us in Houston, TX or?Huntsville, AL. This position will be responsible for writing, documenting and executing test cases and procedures; both manual and automated. Additionally, this position is responsible for establishing and working with automated test infrastructure and frameworks and coordinating testing tasks with and activities with project teams. Other duties include: track QA issues and fixes, evaluate and report test results, maintain and update the software QA test environment, software QA test cases and software QA test procedures. This position is also involved with executing test procedures/cases to identify bugs through independent, systematic testing and documenting test results and identify the nature and severity of the software defects. This tester will not be making code changes, but testing only. Required skills include:
BS degree in related filed such as Computer Science
Experience in Web testing (HTML, JSP, JavaScript)Experience with Mercury Testing Tools (TestDirector, QuickTest Professional, LoadRunner)
Experience running manual test cases.
Experience testing client/server applications (web based), writing software test cases and test plans.
Experience with incremental integration testing, integration testing, functional testing, end-to-end testing, sanity testing, regression testing, and ad-hoc testing. Desired skills include:
Previous working experience with JAVA,
Experience running automated test cases.
Experience using Mercury Testing tools (TestDirector, QuickTest Professional)
Experience black box testing, white box testing, sanity testing, acceptance testing, load testing, performance testing, usability testing, user acceptance testing, and beta testing.
Knowledge of Software QA methodologies and processes
QA concepts and methodologies: Black / White box testing, Top-down / Bottom-up testing; Static / Dynamic testing.
Levels of Software testing: Unit, Functional, Integration, Regression, Load (Stress), Acceptance testing
