Sr. Programmer/Systems Integrator

Job Description

Major Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager, Business Systems, the Senior Programmer/System Integrator will provide application support services to internal PD clients and business units especially Corporate Financial Services, including and not limited to Financial Shared Services, Tax, and Treasury. Under general supervision, the Senior Programmer/System Integrator will plan, design, develop, test, coordinate, implement, support and enhance enterprise applications and technical solutions following defined quality and process guidelines. This position will work with PD business units and others within the Corporate Information Services Group (CIS) to research and determine business and systems requirements to address a wide range of complex business issues. The incumbent will advise clients on technical issues and develop technical and end-user operating instructions and procedures. Additionally, this position will develop design standards and process improvements and coordinate work efforts with other CIS functions to deliver integrated solutions. The Senior Programmer/System Integrator is expected to contribute in all phases of the application development lifecycle.

1. Work with PD business units to identify and document Financial systems requirements and processes with general supervision
2. Work with PD business units, the Infrastructure Group and other applications development groups or PD customers to define system scope and objectives based on user needs
3. Select, configure, integrate, test and implement commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) or custom Financial software solutions as appropriate with general supervision
4. Provide ongoing support for custom or COTS Financial applications such as Fixed Assets, Capital Appropriations, Hyperion Enterprise?, Hyperion Planning? and Hyperion Application Link with general supervision
5. Identify and document procedures for the installation and maintenance of specified Financial applications
6. Conform and remain compliant to all PD IS policies and standards with respect to SDLC and support SOX controls and testing for mission critical Financial applications as required
7. Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems following identified policies and procedures
8. Perform project management duties as necessary under general supervision
9. Develop and maintain effective relationships with external development partners; Analyze and review specifications both from internal and external sources
10. Assist in the adoption of global PD standards and methodologies for software development

Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work and educational experience
* 2-5 years of experience in Financial applications development, integration and support
* Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of the software development life cycle including familiarity with JAR, JAD, RAD and prototyping
* Experience with Hyperion Enterprise, HAL and Hyperion Planning a plus
* Proficient in the skill of communication (oral and written especially in relation to system documentation)
* Proficient in skills of problem solving and driving for results
* Proficient in skills of self management, confidence/stress tolerance, and integrity/dependability
* Proficient in skills of teamwork and maturity/commitment

* Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
* Proficiency in Microsoft desktop productivity tools

Criteria/Conditions(specific background and skills):
* Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ
* Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator
* Work for hours at a time in front of a computer and keyboard utilizing Microsoft desktop tools
* Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
* Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
