Cost Analyst
CB&A Project Management Services is a privately owned company in Birmingham, Alabama that specializes in Project Management and Engineering services. CB&A has an immediate opening for a Cost Analyst / Cost Control Specialist in Birmingham, Alabama. This assignment has a potential duration of 2 to 5 years.
CB&A is also accepting resumes for Project Control Specialists, Schedulers (P3 & MSP), Cost Analysts, Estimators, Material Managers, Design Engineers, Project Engineers, Construction Managers, and Project Managers for anticipated Project Management/Engineering assignments throughout the Southeastern U.S.
Requirements for Cost Analyst / Cost Control Specialist:Minimum of 2 - 5 years of Project Controls and Cost Management experience on Industrial Construction projects. Experience within the Power Industry a major plus. Experience within the Chemical, Pharmaceuticals, Cement & Lime, and/or Pulp & Paper Industries also a plus. Proven experience in budget preparation, tracking, time phasing, forecasting and cost control for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction projects.Candidate should be ambitious, self-starting, and possess team leadership skills.Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.Must have strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft applicationsMust be willing to make occasional trips to construction sites.Must be open to the possibility of relocating to Birmingham, AL.
Responsibilities:Must be able to interpret and analyze cost data through the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction phases for an industrial construction project.Must be able to produce reports reflecting cost tracking, change order tracking, projections, cash flows and variances. Be able to facilitate meetings to discuss cost-related issues and to make recommendations related to cost control.
