The Role
The Associate participates on small consulting teams and will be exposed to a wide variety of projects involving the design, development and implementation of Organizational Effectiveness and Sales Effectiveness offerings. Typical project work includes workforce planning, employee and organizational surveys, organization and job design, talent management (e.g., career/competency development, succession planning, leadership development, etc.) and performance and rewards processes and systems within client organizations (e.g., cash and equity compensation processes and systems). Working independently or with other team members, the incumbent will have the opportunity to:
? Interact with clients to gather data and/or explain the analysis that is required to solve the client?s problem and implement enduring solutions
? Develop business solutions based on an understanding of clients? business strategy and the key drivers of performance
? Conduct research through interviews, focus groups, and/or mining of industry data
? Perform complex qualitative and quantitative analysis using spreadsheets, modeling, and statistical tools to develop and support preliminary conclusions
? Convey findings in a compelling manner through the preparation of reports and client presentations, which include issue identification, alternative solutions, and recommendations
? Utilize Excel, Access, and other tools to help implement and enable solutions
? Function as a contributing team member by prioritizing own work to ensure the timely completion of tasks, using initiative in developing project plans and networking with other team members or associates for assistance or other support
The Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
? Up to three years of relevant business experience
? A Bachelor?s degree in any major with a quantitative or research curriculum such as Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Psychology, Computer Science, or Engineering
? Demonstrated success in problem-solving, using analytical rigor
? Demonstrated quantitative ability (e.g., ability to work with data from multiple sources, build Excel or Access models that have the flexibility to accommodate various assumptions, or perform scenario-based analysis using spreadsheets, database management, statistical, or financial analysis packages)
? Articulate and compelling communication skills, both orally and in writing
? Demonstrated self-management and leadership
? Evidenced interest in, and curiosity about, business. An internship or prior consulting experience is desirable, but not required
