Job Description:

We are seeking a Managing Consultant to be a part of our Disputes & Investigations practice in our Los Angeles office. Our D&I practice focuses on assisting corporations and their counsel in addressing the issues associated with complex disputes and investigations throughout the entire litigation process. As testifying experts, we prepare and deliver testimony in depositions, arbitrations and trials. We have proven expertise in a variety of areas, to include Financial Services, Intellectual Property, Investigations, commercial litigation, among others.

Position Summary:
We are looking for a professional with a CPA, or a CPA in process, with 4-8 years of public accounting and/or audit experience, outstanding technical accounting and analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous professional growth. Candidates who meet the minimum criteria will have the opportunity to work on a variety of engagements that leverage and build upon their capabilities and skills in a dynamic and professional consulting environment.

A sample of diverse consulting engagements include: forensic accounting and whistleblower investigations, consulting on complex accounting and financial reporting matters, mergers and acquisitions due diligence and purchase price disputes, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations, Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance, business process reviews and risk assessments, and litigation support.

Candidates will work with multinational companies and their legal counsel across various industries, including, but not limited to, financial services, construction, energy, IT services, and healthcare, and telecom.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs and supervises detailed fact finding and accounting research and analysis
- Directs and develops computer models including detailed and potentially complex spreadsheet analysis
- Supervises and conducts data gathering activities including document review and supervision, and quality control of data entry activities
- Supervises appropriate personnel including Consultants, and others as appropriate.
- Responsible for engagement planning
- Prepares client communications for senior level review

Ideal candidates will also possess the following:
- Strong academic record
- Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS is required
- Forensic or fraud experience a plus
- CPA certification or currently a CPA candidate
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong project management skills
- Pro-active, self-motivated, and dependable
- Willing to travel to 50%
