ORACLE CONSULTANT- DISCRETE MANUFACTURING

CMTC has an immediate need for an Oracle Discrete Manufacturing Functional expert, with extensive Engineer to Order and Discrete Manufacturing experience in Aerospace.

 

Functional Manufacturing consultant is needed immediately (September 12, 2006), supporting the implementation of Oracle 11.5.10 modules including: (primary skills are Bold highlighted)

 

Enterprise Asset Manager (eAM) ? experience is mandatory

Bill of Material (BOM)

Engineering BOM and ECO

Work in Process (WIP)

Serial/Lot Control

MRP/Master Production Scheduling

Capacity Planning (CRP)

Cost Management (CST)

Item Data reconciliation with Product Data Management (PDM), Purchasing and Manufacturing

Manufacturing Scheduling (MSP)

Order Management

Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

As-Built Reporting integration with PDM

Inventory (Inv ? secondary skill set)

Project Manufacturing

Software installation settings

Purchasing Requisition and Outside Processing (OSP)

Quality Assurance (QA)

SQL and report query skills is a plus

Discovery report experience is a plus

Support DBS and Developmental Programmers in set up, specification and testing of any requested interfaces, reports or setting changes

 

Note: The client is on Oracle 11.5.10. Experience with 11.5.9 is the minimal requirement.

 

 Aerospace industry experience highly desired.

 

U.S. Citizenship is required.

 

Position Details:

Consultant will participate in solution design, build test cases, support application configuration, conduct (lead and facilitate) Conference Room Pilot (CRP), and support the development of test scripts, support operations test, and train key users.

 

Responsibilities:

Plan, organize and perform tasks as assigned by the project manager.

Facilitate solutions that best meets the client?s needs.

Create project deliverables per the project plan and scope.

 

Meet customer requirements: Extensive interface with MIS in development of Conversion programs, Interfaces and recommendations for changing switch setting in Legacy Oracle to interact with Discrete Manufacturing. There are 2 implemented manufacturing organizations with 2 new manufacturing organizations scheduled to start in October 2006 Production support, retraining of the 2 manufacturing organization and fixing production problems will be a regular activity. (Approximately 25% of the time) Integrating Bar Code Scan for Time & Attendance, material and Work Order Tracking is part of this project. Assist project manager in project estimates. Report progress Identify bottlenecks and key issues Supplement Oracle Training with OJT for the Key Users during Initial set up and Conference Room Pilot Test.

 

Education: Bachelors in Engineering or Related Area

 

Experience: Minimum of 5 years working experience with Oracle Applications ? Manufacturing and Distribution Minimum of 2 year working experience with Release 11i PDM / Manufacturing Configuration Control in an R&D environment are needed.

 

Software Skills: Oracle Applications Release 11i; multiple module/applications experience / exposure preferred

 

Essential Skills:

 

1. Product Knowledge (Functional): Version 11i, ? Modules listed above.

2. Product Working Experience: Hands-on with the product; At least 2 ?Major? implementation experiences.

3. Domain Experience: Good understanding of discrete manufacturing processes in Aerospace

4. Team player

5. Take the lead roll in solution development and desk top configuration based on User Roles.
