Research Analyst
The Strategy Group, as part of the Strategic Planning Department, provides research, analysis strategy-based planning, consulting and advisory services that enable Countrywide Financial Corporation, its subsidiaries and divisions to develop, align, communicate and execute strategies and measure their success.
The Research Analyst will work with Strategic Planning Department's (SPD) strategy group to
support Countrywide's senior management in their strategic objectives to achieve long term
profitable growth by conducting research and analysis on market and competitive trends for the purpose of evaluating and analyzing information for corporate initiatives.
Specific Duties Include:
- Carry out data collection and analysis as assigned to support SPD. Use a variety of tools to
obtain information required to support better strategic decision-making.
- Analyze collected data and create reports and presentations.
- Develop complex financial models.
- Prepare presentations, summarizing research and analysis and various information.
- Research (secondary and primary).
- Ad hoc project analysis (qualitative & quantitative).
- Professional development and other administrative issues.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in research and analysis.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Proven problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities.
- Ability to identify key information needs, dependencies and prioritize workflow.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven project management skills, including multiple concurrent engagements.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel (including financial modeling) skills.
- Experience in Financial Services Industry preferred.
