Roadway Practice Builder/Project Manager

Job Description Overview:

 

Kimley-Horn is looking for a business development practice leader to work in our fast growing Tucson office. They will market proposals to key clients in their respective area of expertise. They will make presentations, write the scope of work, establish budgets, and manage the deliverables and execution of work. They will manage the client contact as well as the quality and integrity of the work performed to ensure it is delivered in a timely fashion. They are expected to establish and deliver goals in alignment with company initiatives in their market. Responsibilities include; positive communication with leadership and staff, client contact, client relations, growing and directing a practice, transitioning work successfully, providing and maintaining budgets, ensuring the quality and timing of deliverables, managing and mentoring staff, help with recruiting, and providing a positive role model for the office and staff. The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business. They will be provided with accounting, administrative, marketing, recruiting, IT, and production support with an internal client service focus as well as peer leadership they can rely on.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 
Client contacts and relationships with municipalities and DOT?s
Experience writing proposals, establishing and maintaining budgets for projected work
Ability to deal with leadership, manage staff, and direct resources accordingly
Skill in managing rural highway, urban freeway, or municipal roadway projects profitably
Extensive knowledge of grading, drainage, utility, or other related design issues
Prior experience with design on AutoCAD, Micro-station or discipline related software
12 or more years experience in civil design and engineering
Registered professional engineer
