Senior EHS Consultant - Business Development

We are looking for a senior level consultant who will be instrumental in helping to grow our California business from our Santa Ana office. This exciting position has both business development and technical consulting responsibilities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing various EHS programs and systems and mentoring other consultants. This position is also responsible for project management and client management. You should have expertise in one or more non-remediation based EHS technical area (e.g. Environmental Management Systems, Health & Safety, etc.)

 

This position draws heavily on your technical EHS and consultative sales skills to develop new business and maintain client relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:Providing sales leadership, and making new and existing client sales Meeting sales objectives, maintaining sales plans and updating sales forecast and pipeline Generating leads, coordinating meetings and proposals, and conducting follow up to meet sales targets Developing and maintaining our Customer Relationship Management system to track leads and measure sales performance Proposal preparation, including estimating work scope and price, and presentation process and managing client relations to ensure complete satisfaction Maintaining a high profile externally and through membership/ attendance in industry functions, continually increasing contact base EHS project management and coordination of project teams including serving as a Client Steward (Account Manager) for key accounts Seen as a leader within EORM and outside EORM, as a result of your technical, industry and competitive knowledge Provide IH and safety support to a variety of high-tech and biotech customers Conduct occupational injury/illness reporting & investigation activities and tracking Develop and implement written EHS programs.Perform EHS audits Support technical EHS trainingMentor other consultants in sales and technical specialty areas

Education & Experience:Undergraduate degree in a science-related field is required. A MS in a science-related field or MBA is desirable. 7-10+ years of related experience including business development responsibility for a professional services firm. Must be local to the San Francisco Bay Area or have experience selling in this market. Highly organized and self motivated Critical thinking ability
