Position: Network Security Consultant

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

- Provide direct support to clients at their facilities by performing system engineering tasks.
- Activities will include concept of operations development, architecture design & review, requirements definition, system transition planning and supporting customer defined system integration tasks.
- Provide consulting services to customers specific to Cisco Internetworking technology
- Participate in a team consulting environment

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

5-7+ years in the internetworking industry demonstrating a knowledge of:
- Firewall Technology
- Security Practices (Audits, planning, design, implementation, testing, and management)
- LAN/WAN internetworking technology
- Policy and Procedure review and implementation
- Cryptology tools, methods, systems, and protocols
- Networking and Application Protocols
- Other Security controls in a variety of shapes & sizes
- Experience with assessments
- Experience with the installation, configuration, integration and management of firewalls, proxy servers, and routing equipment
- Must have expert level knowledge and skills in the fundamentals of IP and core IP technologies
- Superior communication and presentation skills
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills

 

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS:

- BA/BS degree
- Prefer applicants with Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) with concentration in wireless, network switching, and security.
