Vice President, Senior Project Manager

Operations Support (previously known as Production Quality & Compliance Group) will assist the company in defining and developing the overall Quality and Compliance strategy. Operations Support will support Production, Divisional Compliance, and the Sr. Managing Director, COO of Countrywide Home Loans by being the single coordination point to compile quality/compliance reports, trigger information where missing, standardize reporting methods, prioritize issues, recommend actions and decisions where needed, clarify and syndicate policies, and organize the flow of information both to keep executive management informed and to ensure decisions are made. Specific to improving the quality of our loans, the group will be responsible for identifying relevant areas of concentration, prioritizing issues, communicating compliance standards and monitoring progress.

Operations Support will serve as an advocate and resource for the production divisions, assisting each origination channel in its efforts to generate clear and consistent reporting standards and ensuring that these standards meet federal and state requirements. The group will also function as a central communication point between divisional compliance teams and departments having corporate oversight, such as Central Compliance, Central Audit, Legal and Bank Compliance. In this way, this organization will have the ability to effectively analyze all relevant data and requirements and, with a big-picture view of the impact on all production divisions, appropriately prioritize efforts.

The end-goal of Operations Support will be to ensure that creative and effective solutions are applied to identified issues according to priority.

This unique and challenging position provides a broad range of project and program management support. Emphasis will be on driving and/or owning the tactical implementation of Operations Support's credit and compliance related projects, in addition to working closely with Divisional Compliance and Credit Quality teams to review and prioritize corrective action plans. Key functions will include supporting duties tied to Executive Management reporting and general administration, ensuring project tracking database is current and providing strategic and tactical advice on corrective action project planning and execution. This will involve reviewing corrective action project plans to ensure findings are properly addressed through remediation efforts and creating project communication documents such as project plans, updates, issue lists, one-page milestone summary reports, etc. Responsibilities will include researching, analyzing, drafting, writing and editing a variety of technical and often complex management reports and presentations; helping to drive and install a culture of organization and discipline within Operations Support; and synthesizing data from multiple sources for use in developing clear and concise reports. Other duties will include managing the budgetary process and cost centers for Operations Support, including monthly reconciliation, forecasting, expense control and variance analysis, in addition to acting as single point of contact for coordinating issues to and from Finance and Accounting.

Requirements:
- 4-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
- 7+ years financial services experience.
- Experience in managing and participating in small to mid-size projects from inception to implementation.
- Understanding of basic project management methodology.
- Understanding of time and task dependencies and how to identify and raise project issues.
- Proficiency with standard business software (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Visio) to create, modify and maintain spreadsheets, word processing documents, charts and graphs, and multi-media materials.
- Ability and to adapt to constant change, prioritize and multitask to effectively meet strict deadlines.
- Organizational, analytical and customer service skills.
