EMPATH Consulting Inc. is a leading healthcare consulting company specializing in operations change management.  We spearhead broad-scale operational transformation projects at hospitals and multi-hospital systems, introducing new information technology and dashboard delivery systems, specializing in Emergency Departments, Peri-Operative Services, and Inpatient Units.


As we are continuing to grow quickly, and expanding into even more Peri-Operative departments of hospitals, we are seeking  a Vice President of Peri-Operative Services with a proven track record in operational improvement to join our project team at different client hospital sites throughout the country.

 

The Vice President of Peri-Operative Services will be responsible for both the sales (30%) and Operations (70%) of EMPATH?s rapidly expanding Peri-Operative change methodologies  at various clients throughout the United States.

 

SALES

 30% of the time is spent in client management and salesDevelopment of EMPATH?s Strategic Plan for Peri-Operative Services Consulting, including marketing and sales developmentMust have familiarity with both operations and marketing, with the ability to mentor strong relationships with our clientsProvide subject matter expertise for white papers, seminars, and speaking eventsIs accountable for achieving new order targets of $3-5 million per yearExperience in creating and communicating value proposals with sales, customers and delivery

 

 

OPERATIONS

 70% of time is spent in OperationsLeads Peri-operative change initiatives at major academic hospitals across the U.S., using proprietary methodologies and technology systems.Develops project plans, methodologies, tools, training programs, and delivery tools for the ConsultantsManages the delivery of EMPATH OR products, including coordination and delivery of IT initiatives.Staffs and manages EMPATH resources





 

Ideal Candidate will have the following knowledge and expertise:

 Seasoned Manager with consulting experience with strong leadership skills and the ability to mentorExperience in external Peri-Operative enterprise, including Central/Sterile Supply and Case Cart ManagementParticipated in the selection and development of  IT systems, including business process methods, measurement and operational systems.Has 7-10 years Peri-Operative experience, including experience at a large

  teaching and/or or trauma hospital

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBA or BS in Business or Healthcare from an accredited collegeMaster?s Degree in a healthcare field (MPH, MPA, MBA, MSNor equivalent) preferred

 

STRONG COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIREDMS Word MS Excel MS PowerPoint. MS AccessVisio

 

v  Expect 80% travel during project duration.

v  Work is Mon-Thursday at client site, and Friday from home.

v  Relocation is NOT required for this position.

v  Expenses to and from the client site, car rental, etc. will be reimbursed, in addition to a per diem.
