AS/RS Systems Tech

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and operates state-of-the-art Automated Storage/Retrieval System and ancillary equipment, including storage/retrieval vehicles, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, stops and transfers, air compressors, and refrigeration.  Functions as a trained source of expertise for the Cooler operations staff and supplies support for the daily shipping/receiving activities.  Documents activities to maintain current and accurate data for analysis by Systems Manager. Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

 

EDUCATION: H.S. Diploma or equivalent.  Degree in a related technical field preferred but not required.

 

EXPERIENCE:  3 to 5 years experience in the electro-mechanical maintenance of micro-processor based machinery, including AS/RS or similar integrated system maintenance. An accredited training program may be substituted for some of this experience.

 

KNOWLEDGE/

SKILLS: Mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance; electrical and electronic troubleshooting at   component level; Real-time control system problem analysis and resolution; Micro-controller   troubleshooting and programming; PLC skills including ladder logic development and A-B Data

  Highway troubleshooting; and strong metal working skills including all types of welding.

 

ADDITIONAL: Proven ability to work in a self-managing, team based environment utilizing exceptional problem solving     skills. Proficiency in Spanish a plus, but not required.
