Maintenance Supervisor

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for supervising the Value Added facility?s maintenance functions on a given shift, to ensure that production efforts are supported with operating equipment and maintained in a cost effective manner, with high standards of quality and safety at all times.  Supervision of hourly maintenance staff.  Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION: 

EDUCATION:  Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent maintenance experience with high speed vertical form fill packaging systems, conveyors, hydraulics, single and three-phase electrical systems and refrigeration systems.

 

EXPERIENCE:  5-7 years current experience in a maintenance supervisor capacity, preferably in a food company manufacturing environment, with vertical form/fill/seal packaging systems, conveyors, hydraulics, single and three-phase electrical systems and ammonia refrigeration systems.  Experience in establishing programs such as work order tracking, inventory accountability, job assignment and tracking, and process controls.

 

SKILLS: Electrical, PLC and vertical form and fill equipment knowledge.  Ammonia refrigeration knowledge desirable.  Computer skills using a variety of software programs, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
