Responsibilities:
Supervise claim and customer service functions/teams to achieve and exceed business objectives.
Maintain a productive, competent staff by effectively hiring, motivating and reviewing staff.
Develop, maintain and enforce production, turnaround and accuracy standards.
Measure and complete reports on staff performance.
Monitor staff levels in relation to volume and allocates resources as needed.
Participate in all team processes and activities.
Requirements:
Foster an effective team culture.
Establish trust and credibility at all levels of the organization.
Capable of managing a variety of issues while driving the momentum of key projects.
Actively listens to understand the perspective of others.
Handle difficult situations diplomatically.
Take initiative to communicate extensively.
Encourage diverse opinions.

Promote recognition of others. High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience of at least 3 - 5 years in a customer service and / or claim processing setting.
Expert knowledge of health claim processes and products, root cause development and claim paying systems.
Leadership experience preferred, preferably in a production environment.
Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
Personal computer skills.
CPT and ICD-9 coding knowledge.
Certification preferred.
