Title: Phoenix Hub Customer Service

Reports to: Phoenix Hub Manger

Location: Phoenix (Chandler) Arizona Hub

General Summary

The Customer Service position will be the primary contact for all customer inquiries and/or problems/issue resolution. The position will also assist with receiving, inspecting, storing, picking, and shipping chemicals to our Phoenix Hub Customers, and other tasks as assigned. The self-starter position will assume backup/assist responsibility for Hub Office Assistant/ Clerk and Site Expediter/ Customer service positions. They will assist with supply chain issues, between supplier, Hubs, and customers. The position may also be responsible for preparing and/or reviewing Hazardous Material shipping documents, and may oversee a variety of Hub and 3PL processes as assigned..

Once annual goals are established the position is free to act in setting priorities and deploying resources with prescribed standards and practices. The position ensures excellent service from tier II suppliers, assists with purchasing activities as it relates to customer requirements, and responds to all customer needs and issues in a timely and professional manner.

Individual Responsibilities

Ensures optimum performance of the Chemical Management Program by recommending and implementing actions to improve productivity, increase effectiveness and reduce costs.

Acts within the scope of authority and remains consistent with Haas objectives, guidelines, policies and practices.

Consistently demonstrates the ability of Haas to provide value to the customer.

5.

Develops solutions arising from emergency situations.

6.

Determines appropriate inventory and service levels, plans or approves corrective action or process changes as required.

7.

Responds to customer requests regarding products, projects, information and other inquiries.

8.

Insures all reports/required forms are submitted correctly and in a timely manner to both internal and external customers.

9.

Participates in management and customer meetings (as requested/required)

10.

Promote and ensure effective communication with Haas corporate personnel and with customer personnel.

11.

Represents Operations on a system wide basis with the continual development of Best Practices and Knowledge Sharing Initiatives.

 

  Management Responsibilities



1.

Manage customer relationships.

2.

Keeps abreast of customer needs and practices affecting the Chemical Management Program and communicates pertinent information to the staff.

3.

Coordinates activities related to projects requested by the customer or identified by Haas site staff members; maintains project list; works with management to assign resources as appropriate.

4.

Promotes and ensures effective communication and teamwork among Haas TCM and customers.

5.

Promotes and assists in development of Tier II suppliers and ensures they are meeting the needs of Haas and our customer.

6.

Help insure the Hub complies with all federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA, DOT, IATA and RCRA requirements.

8.

Work effectively across the Supply Chain organization in a cost effective manner and with customers having varying standards and objectives Identify and manage work process improvement projects and cost reduction efforts at Hubs

9.

Coordinate with Supply Chain organization and customers in setting annual goals

 

Education and Experience

2 years combined experience in distribution, inventory control, purchasing and/or customer service required. B.S. degree in Purchasing, Operations, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or related field desired.

Candidate must possess the ability to express ideas clearly, orally and in writing.

Experience in distribution/warehouse, JIT delivery systems, supply chain operations and purchasing/inventory control processes and procedures required. Experience in developing and implementing creative customer solutions a must.  Knowledge of inventory management systems and computer software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word) preferred.

Travel:  Limited travel required

 

Authority/Freedom to Act: 

 

This is a self-starter position with minimum direction from Executive Management.  Once annual goals are established the Site Manager is free to act in setting priorities and deploying resources with prescribed standards and practices.
