CDC- INFO Sr. Correspondence Specialist

- The Senior Correspondence Specialist supports the Team lead in supervising the correspondence team and is the secondary interface with CDC in the establishment of all standard operating procedures and guidelines.
- Responsible for working with the CDC-INFO training manager to ensure all team members have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs.
- Collaborate and coordinate with other CDC-INFO supervisors and managers to ensure that the team is fully integrated into the other operations of the contact center
- Provide routine reports as needed on the functions that are supported by the correspondence team.
- Review and approve outgoing responses and as necessary prepare responses.
- Prior experience in public health communication, or public policy, or medical communication a plus.
- Assist management in the direction of the multi-functional activities of the department, meeting internal and contractual commitments, assuring quality of process and direction of resources.
- May support the development of proposals by providing accurate assumptions, estimates and schedule resources and participate in pre and post project reviews.
- Monitor department's process flows while maintaining highest level of quality in all aspects of operations.
- Identify, review and communicate changes and enhancements to the process control system.
- Identify and recommend solutions for interdepartmental schedule problems, priority requests or any customer requirements not being met.
- Identify and communicate inconsistent project implementation via specifications or process.
- Represent the Correspondence Team Lead as required.
- Identifying customer requirements, developing a plan for product/service delivery, identifying and recruiting appropriate resources, assigning individual responsibilities, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion and final delivery of a solution to meet customer requirements.
- May be required to work off-shift as necessary.
- Occasional travel to customer and other Pearson sites may be required.

- Three to Five years of experience in Public Health, MPH Preferred
- RN or MD qualifications preferred to have the additional skills and knowledge to prepare responses that require a clinical understanding.
- Experience in County or State level Policy writing and communication
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of the principles and practices of health education
- Skill in leading and coordinating the work of others
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- Must possess leadership skills, especially leading a staff during multiple shifts preferred.
- Team supervisory experience a must
- Ability to interact with all levels of management and customers.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Security Clearance may be required.
