For over 30 years, Gymboree Play & Music has led the way in early childhood play, music and arts classes for children ages newborn to 5 years and their parents. We are currently looking for several positions for our Phoenix area locations ? Chandler, Mesa and Scottsdale - and for our traveling ?On-The-Go? program.


Gymboree TEACHERS facilitate high-energy parent-child play, arts, and music classes and birthday parties in our state-of-the-art facility using lesson plans provided by Gymboree. Classes are 45 ? 60 minutes in length and typically include parent participation.


To fill this position, you MUST love children! You must be a happy, energetic person who can sing unaccompanied, lead parenting discussions, multi-task, and engage children by crawling, climbing, sliding and singing with them (and encouraging their parents to do so as well!). Music teachers must have a good musical foundation, must be able to sing well, and be able to teach the basic building blocks of music. (You do NOT need to be able to play an instrument.) You must be very comfortable being silly in front of a group of parents and kids and encouraging them to be silly with you. You must also be comfortable with selling our products to prospective customers.


Life experience, dependability, and personality are key evaluation factors for our positions. Previous teaching experience, experience working with children, retail sales, and/or customer service experience is strongly preferred. A college degree is also preferred. We are currently hiring for PART TIME for 15 ? 30 hours per week depending on location. Some positions may require working at multiple sites and weekends. Shift times will vary by site, but are mostly mornings Monday-Saturday. Gymboree classes are held year-round, but we are closed on Sundays and major holidays.

This is the perfect job for a parent looking for a position while his/her children are in school. Also, for university students who have a love for children and who are studying early childhood education, theatre, or music.
