Battery Customer Support Engineer - Birmingham/Baton Rouge

Eaton Corporation located in Birmingham, AL or Baton Rouge, LA has an opening for a Battery Customer Support Engineer.

Individuals are responsible for performing on-site or in-house repair and/or installation of company products. Works on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is required. Must provide a high level of quality service. Responsible for uploading all field activity reports, managing assets and controlling inventory. Services electrical (high voltage environment) and electronic based products at the customer site, performing emergency and preventive maintenance. Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment. Adhere to all published WSG safety standards. Must complete training program, PowerTrak, held in Raleigh, NC. Must demonstrate proficiency on products and processes before being dispatched to the field.

Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or equivalent training/education in the technician field and the ability to utilize drawings, mathematics, handbook formulas and a variety of precision diagnostic instruments. Minimum of 3 years of UPS, battery technologies or electronics experience. Excellent verbal and written communications skills and customer relations skills. Must have valid driver's license. PC proficiency including knowledge of Microsoft Windows. Occasional overnight travel will be required. Repeated bending and ability to lift up to 75 pounds required
