CDMA System Engineer

Amp'd Mobile is a new MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) offering phones and services that will take the mobile experience to the next level.  We provide a whole new world of mobile entertainment.  In addition to all of the phone features users can't live without, they can now watch their favorite music videos and TV clips, listen to their favorite music downloads, watch live broadcasts, play their favorite 3D multi-player games, read their favorite blogs, download teh hottest ringtones and wallpapers, and more - all at broadband speeds (EVDO). 

 

Amp'd Mobile is now looking for a CDMA System Engineer!

 

In this position the candidate will:

*  Support products through the compliance and acceptance process through CDMA engineering expertise.

*  Lead investigation of problems/questions that arise during VZW testing process.

*  Drive technical resolution across OEMs, Amp'd and VZW.

*  Support Device Test team as CDMA/EVDO subject matter expert.

*  Support ALUI development team as CDMA/EVDO subject matter expert.

 

Key Delivarables:

*  On-time completion of acceptance testing and certification

*  Contribute to Technology Roadmap

*  Review/contribute to OEM Handset Requirements document.

*  Review and contribute to the Amp'd Mobile Acceptance process

 

Skills Required:

*  In-Depth Understanding of the Verizon Requirements from a technical perspective.

*  Understanding of existing CDMA protocols, standards and practices.

*  Knowledge of CDG Stage 1 through 3 acceptance testing.

*  Expert with CAIT, QxDM and Other.

*  Understanding of emerging CDMA standards and new protocols.

*  Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical team-members.

*  Knowledge of CTIA and FCC Testing processes.

*  BS EE required

*  MS EE desired

10+ years CDMA RF experience
