Electronics Technician

Optec has an immediate opening for an experienced Electronic Technician to work at our facility located in City of Industry, CA. 

 

Optec is an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of out-door bright LED signs and Electronic Message Centers, ranging form electronic price displays at gas stations to giant 20?x40? full color LED video screens.  Our commercial products are highly successful in a fast growing market and continue to fuel our rapid growth.

 

 

Position Overview:

 

Technician will be responsible for testing all returned PCBAs and repairing boards based on established procedures.  S/he will also maintain all assigned test beds and equipment in working order to ensure fast and efficient board repair and inventorying and order components needed for board repair program.  At times, this position may assist engineering in new product development activities and Optec?s Technical support group.

 

Successful candidate must have an AA in electronics or equivalent training from the military or vocational school and a minimum of two years experience in troubleshooting and repair of PCBAs to the component level.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Successful candidate must have the following skills:

 

?  Knowledge of multi-layered printed circuit boards, IC chips, and electronic equipment;

?  Ability to perform board level electronic failure diagnosis, repair and rework;

?  Computer literate with the ability to learn to use standard PC programs;

?  Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

?  Self-motivated and multi-task oriented with demonstrated problem solving skills;

?  Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills;

?  Ability to provide detailed failure analysis reports and improvement recommendations for Engineering;

?  Ability to work with little or no supervision;

?  Fluency in Chinese is a plus

?  This is a regular full-time job located in City of Industry, CA

?  Flexible start time between 6:00 and 8:00am, M-F
