Engineering Technician II-IV

JOB DESCRIPTION : Technical and administrative position in support of EW & RF Communications testing. Receives technical advice from supervisors or Engineers; work is reviewed for technical adequacy (or conformity with instructions). May be assisted by other Technicians and Engineers. Knowledge of the following technical duties (preferable): operation of high power RF amplifiers, military RF communications equipment, & RF test and measurement instruments. Develops or reviews procedures by extracting and analyzing a variety of engineering data. Conducts test or experiments requiring selection, adaptation or modification of a wide variety of electronic and RF test equipment and test procedures; record, analyze, evaluate and report finding to address data and information preparation of test reports. Applies methods outlined by others to limited segments of research and development projects; conducts tests or experiments and perform various administrative duties as required to include property management, purchasing and shipping and receiving support, record keeping, and preparation of documents, spreadsheets, and briefings. Work is performed in a variety of environmental conditions.



 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Must be physically able to bend stoop, lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and maneuver in and out of confined spaces. Must be able to work varying shift schedules which may include weekends, and travel in support of tests.

Candidate must have a valid driver?s license with an insurable driving record.  Candidate selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must be granted an Interim Security clearance within 90 days of employment date.
