Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer

Electronics Surface Mount Manufacturing (SMT) Environment.

 

We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer or Process Engineer who enjoys challenging responsibilities to take the lead roles in our SMT manufacturing environment.

 

Report directly to the Vice President, the candidate will be fully responsible and provide leadership for all aspects of manufacturing engineering, processes and equipment.  The candidate will lead communications with customer and vendor on all manufacturing technical issues.

 

? Conceive, develop and implement manufacturing processes for assembly production.

? Develop documents for procedures, processes and work instructions.

? Develop test approach for new products.

? Develop all new automated processes.

? Propose, evaluate, implementation of all new manufacturing equipment purchases.

? Manage all Virtium?s equipment maintenance and programming issues

? Conduct meeting, interface with customers on all technical issues related to manufacturing process and manufacturing quality

? Write FA, CAR, Report on technical issues to response to customers

? Conduct Root cause analysis and propose corrective actions for continuous improvement and for resolutions to manufacturing processes and equipment problems.

? Technically select vendors as required

? Communicate with vendors on all technical issues, issues 

? Collaborate with purchasing, production, program manager and outside vendors to set and meet schedules and accommodate all customers requirements

? Provide engineering technical support and design input for new projects

 

We will consider candidates who possess the following:

 

? 4-year technical degree ? BSEE, BSME or equivalent

? Minimum 5 years experience in electronic SMT manufacturing in an engineering function

? Broad knowledge of PCB, SMT equipment and related processes

? Demonstrated conceptual thinking skills

? Demonstrated project management experience ? planning, budget, allocation of resources

? Negotiation and conflict management skills

? Working knowledge of quality workmanship standard, IPC, mil-spec, ISO

? Demonstrated analytical expertise ? reason, plan, solve problems, establish priorities

? Computer efficiency ? Intermediate level in MS office

? Excellent written and verbal skills to interact with people at all levels and functions inside and outside the company

? Proficient in technical writing, good documentation skills

? Attention to detail is critical.
