Summary

 

Manage and lead a team of Mechanical/Mfg Process and Automation Engineers in the design and development of leading edge micro-electronics products and connectors.  Responsible for all aspects of products from basic research to product launch.  Accomplish goals by leading diverse world-wide teams. 

Lead engineering teams in the research, design, evaluation and launch of new products micro electronics in alignment with business strategy here in the US (San Diego, CA) and our Asian facilities.

 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Math or Science required.  Masters or PhD. preferred.

Minimum 7 years experience overall and have a solid track-record of successfully developing and launching new state of the electronics products. 

Demonstrated experience leading and managing diverse teams of Mechancial and Process Engineers in the development of innovative products.  Demonstrated hands-on engineering capabilities and problem solving successes.  A high motivation to succeed and an ability to lead and motivate teams. 

Software Tools Experience: Working knowledge of CAD programs such as Solid Works and Auto Cad.

Experience with electronic connector design and development

Development and design of electronics packaging including molding, wire bond and die attach.

Working knowledge of thermal and structural FEA.

Working knowledge of Electrical Engineering fundamentals.

Experience with injection molded plastics design.

Experience with magnetic or analog packaging design and development.

Technical knowledge of product tooling and fixture design and working knowledge of material selection including metals and non metals.

Experience working with high volume production operations in Asia.

Ability to travel overseas up to 15%.
