Mechanical (Transducer) Assemblers-Mfg.

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Assembles transducers using hand held tools (drills, soldering irons, screwdrivers) and

precision measuring instruments (micrometers and calipers).  Working with urethanes,

glues and potting materials (RTVs and epoxys) at a bench or on shop floor by performing

the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Mixes urethanes, glues and potting materials to specified quantitiesPositions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  High school or equivalent

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Writing and reading

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: basic math, up to fractions

 

REASONING ABILITY: interpretation of instructions

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Proof of training in this area.
