Position: Product / Test Engineer

Location: Santa Clara, CA

 

Job Description:

The candidate will be responsible for the new product test SW and HW development project for Synaptics capacitive sensing product lines.

He will work with project management team to establishing the product test plan, structure test software and hardware for new products, and analyze the test data to improve test quality to meet project schedule.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Analyze the test data to improve test quality.

o Work with the new product development group for the new test SW and HW development.

o Integrate new test algorithms into the production test SW/HW.

o Provide the test SW and HW technical supports and coordinates rapid transfer of products to the Synaptics-HK test engineering team.

o Participate in product verification, product rollout, failure analysis, and yield improvement activities.

 

Qualifications:

o Be able to communicate well with engineers, all levels of management, and across functional support teams.

o Experience with test software development tasks by using "Lab view", "C/C++" programming.

o Familiarity with device characterization and debugging on test equipment.

o Be able to define test specifications based on product requirements.

o The candidate is expected to come from a recent work environment directly related to the test software development.

o Skilled in troubleshooting of digital systems, including the use of specialized test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators.

o Minimum three years, preferably five years of a demonstrable track record of success in the product and test engineering environments.

o Occasional travel required.

o Friendly, self-motivated, and creative.

 

Education Requirements
  BS/MS in EE (or equivalent).
