Senior Electronics and Laboratory Technician

Job Description:

Opportunity to work at a venture capital funded start-up company. Work as part of a cross-functional team to develop new products requiring expertise in electronics trouble shooting, micro-assembly, test and measurement, and clean room processes. Proven track record of wide technical experience in microelectronics is a must. The successful candidate with collaborate with senior engineering staff to execute many aspects of prototype product production.

Qualifications:

High school degree required. Associates degree in electronics preferred. Minimum of 4 years experience in hands-on production processes in optical, electrical, or electromechanical products.


Experience in a range of skills is expected:

Set-up, calibration, operation, and trouble shooting of precision equipment
Electronics soldering and wire harness assembly
Electronics and PCB test and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of standard electronics testing equipment, meters, scopes, etc.
Basic mathematical computer skills

Responsibilities:

Hands-on development of system level and sub-assembly production processes
Hands-on operation and troubleshooting of precision production equipment
Writing & documentation ? production procedures, assembly logs
Designing assembly jigs and fixtures
Training other technicians
Coordinating purchase of hardware and materials
Helping define company production strategy
