Senior Software Engineer (EDA)

ARM Physical IP (Standard Cells, Memory, IO and Analog) is used by thousands of IC designers around the world to design leading edge chips. We are currently marketing and developing solutions from 250nm to 65nm and below. Key products within the Physical IP space are I/O and Analog Mixed Signal components that are essential for any chip.

This position is a rare opportunity for an ambitious professional with EDA and Design technology background to bridge the gap between the deep sub-micron circuit designs and their creation flows.  You will be exposed to the world's most successful IP company, to the latest EDA tools & process technologies.

 

Role



Write Software for Front  Model Generation for ARM Physical IP (Standard Cells, Memory, IO and Analog) Products. Define methodology to verify the Front End Model Generators. Develop and Deploy Software to automate the Verification methodology to significantly boost in productivity and quality.  Tight interaction with both the designers and the software department is needed to gather requirements, develop specification for Front End Models and ensure that solutions can be realized.  Must ensure smooth transition of  Front End Model Generators and Verification flows to Product Teams.  Must provide Timely support to Product and End-User Support Engineers for any issue related to Front End Modeling and Verification Flows.

 

 

Educational requirements Relevant degree (BS Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent degree), MS preferred.

 



Experience 5+ years of experience in development and verification of ASIC Front End models and EDA software.

 

 

Essential technical skills

?  Experience in Front End Model Development and Verification

?  Experience in writing EDA software.

?  Experience in using EDA tools for Static Timing Analysis, Simulation, Synthesis and Test.

?  Experience with Verilog is a must VHDL is a plus.

?  Experience in scripting with PERL and C-Shell, working knowledge of  automation using Makefile.

Desirable skills and abilities



?  Work experience in field of EDA tools development and software development in C is a big plus.
