Technical Service Representative

Yamaha Corporation of America is the world's leader in the manufacture of quality musical instruments and professional audio equipment.  The Technical Support/Parts Department currently has an opening for Technical Service Representative.

 

DUTIES:

 Provide technical assistance via the phone to dealers, field technicians and customers as well as assistance to Yamaha's subcontract agency.Provide high quality product repairs with an average turnaround time of 10 days.Research technical data on products.Repair technical material for technical presentations via the website, field/in-house seminars, and CD-Rom.Some travel required, both in the US as well as overseas. (less than 5%)


QUALIFICATIONS:

 Must have manual dexterity to operate technical instruments and test equipment.Must posess Associate's Degree or vocational training certificate.Excellent communication, both written and verbal.Must be experienced with technical writing.Must be experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Standard.2+ years repairing electronic equipment preferred.Music knowledge is a plus.This job exposes you to frequent varying temperature conditions due to some work inside of the warehouse.Job requires standing, lifting (approx. 50-100 lbs) and working in warehouse conditions.
